I am Looking to Connect to anyone frome these families, I believe that my ggg grandfather William Alexander Strickland b Feb 25th 1866 is the son of John Strickland and the nephew to Daniel.
He married Martha E "Mattie" McFarling in 1887 in or near Denton County and Lived many years in Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas. He died in 1937 and is Buried in Gainesville.
In the 1870 Census records We have found a William A Strickland that we believe is ours in the home of John.
In 1880 William and brother Jefferson Strickland are in the home of their sister Mary (strickland) Sullivan as adopted sons.
We would like to prove our theory that our William is this William and to learn more about our Strickland roots.
Will gladly share what we have on our William Alexander Strickland.
