James Hendrix/Hendricks & Lavina or Lou V Roberts Hendrix~GA>ARK>IL>TEXAS

I am trying to find information about James Hendrix and Lavinia Roberts families Georgia, Arkansas, Illinois and in Denton County, Texas.

Lavina Roberts was born May, 1830 in GA.I first thought this Lavina or Louvenia was Berry W Roberts' daughter BUT SHE IS NOT THEIR DAUGHTER.

Berry Roberts' daughter Lavina was born abt 1838 and was still unmarried in 1900 and living with Coleman N. Crow, and his wife, Frances "Fannie" Roberts Crow, Lavina's sister in Hall County, GA.

So, who could this Lavina Roberts be? I would appreciate any suggestion at all as to who her family could possibly be.

This Lavina married James Hendrix and they moved with other of the Hendrix/Hendrick/Hendricks family to the area around Hot Springs Arkansas. James joined in Arkansas, fought for the Confederacy, was subsequently imprisoned in Illinois -

Later, James, Lavina and the family moved to Denton Co TX where I believe they continued to live until their demise some time after 1910.(I believe they moved to Denton Co Texas before 1880)

James Hendrix may be the son of Thomas Hendrix & Mary Wheeler, son of James & Hannah, or Anna, Crow Hendrix. I would like to have confirmation of this also.

I have many questions/no answers and I would appreciate any information at all. Regards, Eleanor Roberts Davis
