Services for Cecille Vivian Walker, 78, were held May 15, at 3p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Genoa Goad, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Walker died May 13, at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock following a lengthy illness.
Born in Denton on November 25, 1909, she married Olney Walker on January 27, 1927 in Dickens.

She was a member of the Spur Art Guild and the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Olney Walker, Spur; one son, Walton Walker, Memphis, TN; two brothers, Frank Duncan, Olivehurst, CA; Hugh Duncan, Garden Grove, CA; four sisters, Jewel Brown, Gridley, CA; Mae Booth, Silverton; Lee Allenbrough and Beulah Hill, both of Winlock, WA; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

She is the daughter of Melvin Pierce Duncan and Cora Lee "Hicks" Duncan. Melvin and Cora were married in Denton
April 16, 1903 vol.7 pg.222. Cora's parents were John and Martha Hicks, after John died Martha remarried.

Does any one know who W.P. Johnson is? Where him and Martha are buried? The surnames connected to this family are: Dyer, Bolton, Johnson, Hicks, Duncan, Walker/Wilson?, Johnson comes up in more than one marriage.
