That's much too early for birth records. However, if your great-grandmother had a social security number, her SSN application will have the same information as a birth certificate. If you use the SSN database at http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/vital/ssdi/main.htm to find the number, they also have a boilerplate letter you can send to the Social Security Admin. to request a copy of the application.

Failing that, you might look for an obituary.
