I'm looking for any information about my Great Grandfather's family. His name was William Elisha Bryant and he was born in Itawamba County, Mississippi on May 16, 1860. He died on January 27, 1934 and is buried in Pecan Gap, Texas along with his 2nd wife, Mary Bulah Chambers-Bryant. I'm interested in hearing from anyone that may have additional information, especially regarding who his parents were. I already have the following information:
William E. Bryant's first wife was Martha Susan Eubank. Martha was my Great Grandmother. They were both born in Itawamba County, Mississippi (Martha about 1861) and they were married on November 18, 1880. They moved to Rockwall County, Texas and lived there until after Martha died on March 05, 1886. Their children were:
Harvey Milton: born March 5, 1882; died November 03, 1960
Charlie W.: born July 13, 1883; died November 07, 1885
Richard: born December 21, 1884; died January 01, 1961
Sara: born February 11, 1886; died February 23, 1886
William Elisha married Mary Bulah Chambers on July 02, 1889. I'm not sure when, but they moved to Pecan Gap, Delta County, Texas. I think that most of their following children were born there:
Jesse Thomas Bryant: born June 02, 1890; died April 16, 1969
Marvin Bryant: born 1893
William Bryant: born February 03, 1893; died December 13, 1962
Paul Bryant: born 1894; died 1956
Henry N. Bryant: born April 02, 1897; died April 02, 1898
Earl Clay Bryant: born October 31, 1899
Mary Bulah Bryant: born August 11, 1904; died July 20, 1908
James Andrew Bryant: born January 23, 1908; died September 25, 1971
Robert N. Bryant: born December 18, 1910; died December 07, 1988
A family member told me that William Elisha's father is buried in Guntown, Mississippi, but she didn't know his father's name. Family history says that William shared his father's and grandfather's name, but I'm not sure if it's referring to William or Elisha.
I would really appreciate any information regarding William's parents or his family.
