I am looking for information on the family of William SMITH and Martha GARDNER. They lived in Modena, Mercer Co., and Spickard, Grundy Co., Missouri, as well as Deaf Smith Co., Texas.
According to our records, William SMITH was born 14 MAY 1840, in Modena. He married Martha GARDNER. Martha was born about 1845 in Modena, also.
We know of one son, Lewis Gardner SMITH. He was born 4 DEC 1867 in Modena. On 11 FEB 1888, on a farm near Ridgeway, Missouri, Lewis married Olive Jeannette STONER, who was born on 12 OCT 1869, in Cainsville, Harrison Co., Missouri. They had 8 children:

Minnie Enid, b. 1893 in Mercer Co. "
Eddith Lee, b. 1894 in Grundy Co., Missouri
Ray Estes, b. 1895 in Grundy Co. "

Estella Ruth, b. 1903 in Texas
Bernice Paul, b. 1905 in Texas
Lulu Corinne, b. 1907 in Hereford, Deaf Smith, Texas
