Charlotte, I was doing some searching for you earlier and then lost my internet connection three times, so some of the data I'd copied to provide to you was lost.
From the 1881-82 Farmers Branch directory:
W.W. Butler, Farmer
J.J. Butler, Tenant Farmer
No Morris names were shown.

There are more than 100 hits for Morris via the search on Jim Wheat's great site for Dallas County Texas Archives

I found many Morris names listed in several of the Dallas City Directories on Jim's site; plus, there are obitiuaries, marriages, articles, etc., where you may find the connection between your Butler and Morris. Be sure to look for the names of the children as you review the various transcriptions/articles.
