Still need advice or look up researcher help. I received marriage registry copy from Dallas Co. Clerk office but they report no license issued in Dallas Co. and that I should search other counties. I did that. I sent to all surrounding couties and received negative reports back from all. Then, I found a newspaper clipping (not dated) listing my requested couples marriage license reported in newsprint. It is fragile and there is no date but lists the country clerks and duputy clerks names from 1935 Dallas Co.Texas. It also list other couples licenses. What is the next step? I am resending my request, of course. After that, must I assume lost records, misfiled records, or just missing files?
Any suggestions? Is there a Dallas look up person willing to add my names to their lists for look ups?
