Charles,
I've spent several very enjoyable afternoons in the Lancaster Library. (It is only an hour's drive for me)
They have a survey book of the Edgewood Cemetery that was very helpful.

William H. Fondren was the uncle of John R. Fondren, Morris Fondren, William B. Fondren, Nimrod Fondren, and Jane (Fondren) Love, who all lived in the Lancaster area off and on from the late 1840s. William settled permanately in Parker Co. about 1855; John and Jane S. Fondren moved to Parker Co. with their eleven kids about the same time, then back to Dallas during the war.

Thanks,
Jerry
