Michelle, I'm sorry, but I didn't find a Tom Sawyer(s) in Dallas County on the 1900 Census. There are several listed, but they are in other counties. None of them are living with a Prichett (Prickett) family. I didn't locate a Prichett or Prickett family with anyone named Sawyer either. I found one Tom Sawyer, widower, while male, living in Fayette County with a daughter Mollie and other children. If you think this is the one, or if you have additional info that might separate him, I'll be glad to send or check. Some of the families were white and some were black. Could he have died prior to the 1900 Census?
If I can do something else, let me know. Good Luck.
