George Beard "broke" horses for a living. He was kicked in the head by a horse and suffered a serious head injury. He was taken to a hospital in Terrell Texas where he died. I don't know the date of his death(between 1900 and 1905)or where he was buried. George and Gensie had two children Charles and Lena. Gensie and Lena left east Texas and the family knew nothing about them. Charles lived with his grandparents Charles McKinney Beard and Elmira Jane Roberts Beard in San Augustine county Texas. Charles was a butcher by profession and died in 1976. He is buried in Groveton, Texas. I have a picture of him as a young man. I also have pictures of Charles McKinney Beard and Elmira. My grandmother was the same age as Charles and was his first cousin. She remembered him well.
Charles has a daughter that is still alive in east Texas. She is about 84 and I don't know what her health is like. I talked to her several years ago on the phone.
