I just wanted to let you know there are 2 Cemeteries in Dallas under the Catholic Diocese. The first one is Calvary which was established in 1868 and the 2d one is Calvary Hill that was founded in 1926 and opened around 1928. Calvary is located across from Greenwood and the next to the Jewish Emanuel Cemetery on Hall Street and Central Expressway (75).
The Catholic Cemetery of 1868 was the only burial place at that time and has families of Irish, Italian and some of Dallas's premier political families buried there as in Water Superintendent, Police Chief, Fire Chief, Alderman etc.
Calvary Hill opened when plots at Calvary became full.
I have been in the process of redoing the current plot map and burials.

Jean
