Trish,
I've read your posting and see you are doing a fine job with your investigaton. I see you have also posted in Illinois and on the Tucker Family Forum. I didn't check; but, if you haven't, also post on Rootsweb.com. There is probably more eyes that view those postings.

Your posting shows you had already found the marriage information from Illinois, so I won't repeat that or suggestions. But, I'll list ALL Tucker marriages in Bond Co.

Marriages 1790 to 1900: http://www.sos.state.il.us/departments/archives/marriage.html
Bond County, Groom, Bride, Date,
RICHARDS, JOHN TUCKER, ASSENAH 1835-04-02
- In your posting, you already had this.
GRIGG, JOHN T, TUCKER, JETHINA 1866-10-30
FOSTER, WILLIAM TUCKER, MAHALA 1850-01-29
BOUSMAN, WILLIAM TUCKER, MARGARET W 1845-09-06
PAGE, BERRY TUCKER, MARIA T 1843-08-22
FOSTER, JOHN B TUCKER, NANCY J 1866-10-30
SPRAGUE, P J TUCKER, OLIVER R 1870-03-10
SYLVESTER, JAMES W TUCKER, SUSANN H 1867-12-23
Groom:
TUCKER, HENRY WARD, SARAH ANN 1844-07-10

One problem with Bond County, its history showed it was formed in 1817, taken out of Madison County. So, Bond County was not a county when she was born, "IF" she was born in Bond, County. "IF" she was, her family may have "lived" in Madison, County, at the time of her marriage; but the marriage occured at the closest church, minister, or, they just decided to go there.
There is only one "Tucker" marriage in Madison County in the near time-frame of Assenah's:
BOON, SAMUEL TUCKER, REBECCA 1839-10-24 But there is NO WAY to determine if she was related.

The 1860 and 1870 Census shows Asseneth was born in Tennessee.

The 1840 Census for Greene County, Tennessee
Campbell Tucker. One Male under 5. One Male 15 and under 20. One Female under 5. One Female 15 and under 20.
--This Campbell Tucker in Tennessee is to young.

I don't know who the Campbell Tucker the other "poster" identified. But the one found in Clinton County, IL, in the 1850 probably is the same one with marriage in 1851.
TUCKER, CAMPBELL BALEMAN, MARTHA 1851-05-30 CLINTON
TUCKER, CAMPBELL HILL, ELIZABETH 1836-09-15 CLINTON
But, there is absolutely no proof this or any other Campbell Tucker is related to her.

In the 1860 Census, there were 62 Tucker's born in Tennessee living in Texas; of these 25 were male, 16 of the 62 were born plus/minus 10 years of 1812. And there is no way to determine any females born Tucker in TN, now married and living in Texas.

I'd suggest also posting in Tennessee.

Ron Bestrom
