Hi Robert,

Boy, this bunch moved around, didn't they?

I saw Silas' death certificate, as it seems you did, at the Family Search Pilot Project. It says he's married, so it looks like that Annie might still be alive. Especially since I checked the Rylie cemetery in Dallas and he's buried on a joint tombstone with her, except there's no death date for her. Don't know when the cemetery was surveyed; it's possible she died after the survey. Might be worth contacting the cemetery.

I found lots of other children. First, Daisy's death certificate:;surname=pugh;searchType=standard;p=recordResults;givenName=silas

She was a twin born in Montgomery Co.
Pugh, Daisy Murrl 2-15-1931 F Anna Mae Wear Silas David Pugh
Pugh, David Earl 2-15-1931 M Annie Mae Wear Silas David Pugh

Then one in Hunt Co.
Pugh, James Ray 10-17-1934 M Annie Mae Wear Silas David Pugh Hunt

And one in Leon

I checked the Social Security Death Index and there are several Annie Pughs deceased in Texas (I use Annie as that what appears on the most records, including the 1930 Kaufman census). There's an Annie M Pugh d. in Deaf Smith Co. that was interesting, but the date of birth is competely of (your Annie is Feb. 1902 and this one is Apr. 1905). There were no Anna Pughs. It is, of course, theoretically possible she's still alive.

I also checked for obits. I did find one for Silas and will email it separately.

I think it's entirely possible that one or more of the children are alive. That might be your next step. The obit gives the girl's married names and locations for all of them.

Good luck!
