Hi Peggy,
At this time the latest U. S. Census viewable by the public is the 1930 Census. For some reason I can't find J. H. and Alice in that Census.

The 1940 Census will be released to the public in 2012.

However, I did find a William Sanders, b. 16 Jan 1934, died Nov 1983, Last Benefit Mailed to=Grandview, Jackson Co., MO 64030. His soc. sec. # was assigned in California before 1951. Source: Social Security Death Index, www.ancestry.com.

You can try to find his death date and obituary by posting in Jackson Co., MO. Also look for a contact to find his obituary at Random Acts Genealogical Kindness, www.raogk.org .

Hopefully the obituary will have clues about the rest of his family.

I also found a J. H. Sanders b. 28 Feb 1915, Last Residence=Fresno, Fresno Co., CA, died 9 Oct 2007. His soc. sec. # was assigned in California before 1951. Source: Social Security Death Index, www.ancestry.com. He may or may not be your J. H.

I'd try to find his obituary from the Fresno Public Library, RAOGK or post another query on Fresno Co., CA Message Board. After you receive his obituary, you hopefully will be able to tell if he's your J. H. or not. Successsful Searching!
