Shelvy, you will want to double check this info since Smith is such a common name but this seems to fit what you seek:
Online Texas death certificate for William Glenn Smith, born 26 April 1908, died 5 January 1970, but in Denton County, Texas rather than Dallas County. Father Virgll David Smith, mother Bessie Ogles. Marital status: widow. Retired carpenter. I believe that his funeral announcement appeared in "The Dallas Morning News", 6 January 1970, pg. 4, giving the following survivors: mother, Bessie Smith of Denton; J. (B. or S.?) Smith of Denton; sisters, Mrs Benice Phelps of Gainesville; Mrs. George Wright of Sherman; Miss Gladys Smith of Houston; Mrs. Ruth Arcand of Paradise, California. Burial Oakland.
I checked to see what I could find re: wife Lena. I found in Texas DCs, Lena Allen Smith, born Baxter Co., AR, 9 August 1900, died Dallas County, TX, 20 June 1968 (File #40763), father Mon Bomer, mother's name not available, informant William G. Smith. A short funeral announcement appeared in "The Dallas Morning News" 22 June 1968, pg. 4:
Mrs Lena Allen, 2011 Progressive. Survivors: husband William G. Smith; sister Alice Strebeck; several neices and nehpews. Burial Oakland.
You may already have much or all of this info but perhaps something in this will help, assuming these are the correct Smiths. Rick
