In 1930 the family was living in Dallas, Dallas Co. A. D., b. TX, 42, marr @ 27, bookkeeper gas burner co; Doris H., b. KS< 39, marr @ 22; Mary, b. TX, 14 and Alice, b. TX, 10.
A Doris Thompson b. 17 May 1890 d. Oct 1974 Arlington, Tarrant Co., TX. Her soc. sec. # was assigned in TX in 1963. Source: Social Security Death Index.
A Doris Thompson d. 30 Oct 1974 Tarrant Co., single. Source: Texas Death Index 1903-2000. I don't know if the single was a mistake or if this is your Doris.
You could request a copy of the obituary to verify if this is your Doris. That may also list her daughters and where they were living in 1974. After I receive an obituary I use www.whitepages.com, www.zabasearch.com or www.privateeye.com to find current contact info.
I imagine that I didn't find a death listing for A. D. because of his initials. Do you know what they stand for? Successful Searching!
