Hi Liz, Edwin Gardiner in 1900 was living with his parents in Oak Cliff, Dallas Co., TX. Clifford A., head household, b. IL, 38 yrs old but no occupation in field; Mary E., b. VA, 34; Frank, b. TX, 10 and Edwin b. TX, 8.

Edwin Moore Gardiner filled out his World War I Draft Reg. card May 26, 1917 while living at 543 E. Jefferson, Dallas, Dallas Co., TX. He was born 16 June 1892, Dallas, TX [but can't tell whether city or county].
Occupation=theatrical, Orvis?, His Own Show, Ed Dorado;
Nearest Relative=wife [but no name]. Source: World War I Draft Reg. cards 1917-1918, ancestry.com.

In 1930 Edwin and his wife were living in Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri. Edwin M. b. TX, 37, marr @ 21, father born=IL, mother born=VA, professional theatrical; Eva M., wife, b. MO, 27, marr @ 23, professional theatrical; Arthur B. Tillery, lodger; Isadore Capldin, roomer; and Albert Robertson, lodger.

For further info on Candyland Theatre, I'd contact the following museum in Dallas:
Old Red Museum, http://www.oldred.org/

If that doesn't work out, I'd contact the library of any college or university in Dallas.

I'd also do an advanced Google search on Candyland Theatre Dallas Texas 1912-1918.
Successful Searching!
