Hi Constance, thanks for that helpful information. That must be him; and the NY SS# isn't all that surprising. We know that his aunt (his father's sister), Josephine Genevieve "Teebie" Wright married Joseph Mack Young, and they lived in NY City. So, it's very possible that family and/or employment opportunities may have drawn Robert Mantor Wright to NY. Thanks again for the information which I did not yet have. Any more clues you may find are always welcome! :-)
