I am looking for the parents of Thomas M. Smith born 7 Jul in Virginia or North Carolina. He died 1 Apr 1866 in Dallas County, Texas. Thomas M. Smith b. 7 Jul 1784 died in Va or NC d. 1 Apr 1866 in Dallas County, TX on 15 Feb 1810 in Rutherford County, Tennessee married Mary "Polly" Meadearis.
Only known child is Marth J. Smith born abt 1815 in Tennessee died 1885 in Dallas County, Texas.
Thomas and Polly may have had other children but names are unknown.

Martha J. Smith b. abt 1815 in TN d. 1885 in Dallas County, TX m. Solomon Durrett

Does anyone know who Thomas M. Smith's parents were?
