cemetery book-help

Recently I contacted a RAOGK volunteer in Dallas County, TX. she only does photos of cemeteries.

I am trying to find the death date and obituary for James O (odus or Otis)Thompson in Dallas county born in Alabama, Jan 1884, Wife Lonie Ellen born 1881, children Jackson L. 1908, Trusman, born 1909, Sater born 1911,Bertha born 1913, T C 1915, marie 1917 and Willie B. 1918. I got the death certificate for a james Otis Thompson who died 1979 and he was not mine, not even a son. I have checked the cemetery listing for this Texas site and I didn't find any of these Thompson's. My main interest is James O. Thompson's death date and I will write for the death certificate, but if you have a cemetery book and a marriage book at your library,I'd like to get the rest of these folks, I have also checked the marriage records for gen forum archives that are available online.
The obituary of James would be most helpful, but I can't ask a library to pull it or get a death certificate until I have a death date. If you can't help me, please tell me who else I can write to. So the RAOGK volunteer referred me to the Plano Texas library. No response. Can anyone suggest someone to write for help???

Thanks

Pat Killian
