M C,
I have tried to access the information you suggested through the TX library online, but since I am out of state that seems impossible. If you have had a chance to look through these already, could you please tell me if the A.J, Brooks who owned the Brooks Saloon downtown Dallas around 1900 was mentioned? I have spent so much money on my research already, I'd really hate to go and buy it if he's not mentioned at all.
