Quakers in Estacado, 1880

Looking for any information about the Quaker families who arrived in Estacado,Crosby Co., TX in the year of 1880, abt. Oct. 30. Names I'm interested in include Paris Cox, who was the leader of the group from the Huron/Ashland Co. area of Ohio.
Gr.Gr.Grandparents, Harvey and Anna Underhill, Gr.Grandparents George W. and Rachel Singer & daughter Ida Sorena.
What's known is they left Ohio Sept 1880, arrived Estacado late Oct. 1880. How would they of traveled? Were there trains from Ohio to TX in those days that would of connected? Why did it take so long for 12 families to go that far? Any info would really be appreciated. Thank You,
