John Gordon

I am trying to prove the kinship of John Gordon and Elizabeth (Moncrief?) Gordon, with their 3 daughters. I believe Elizabeth was a descendant of John Cheairs/Chairs/Cheers. My g-grandmother was Louisa Texana Gordon. Believe she was born in Cherokee, Crockett Co., TX, circa 1861 (past the 1860 census, of course). Apparently John died in or died as a result of wounds from the War Between the States, as his family was shown in the indigent list for confederate families.

Can anyone help?

Sandra Perry
