I am looking for a marriage date for John A Applin and Mary Elizabeth Wilson. It was her second marriage. Her first husband was named Sterling Price Rogers.
John and Mary had a single child before John's death in the collapse of a bridge across either the Brazos River or Little River in the Milam County/Coryell County area. The child was my granfather - Alvin Alonzo Applin.
Mary Elizabeth Wilson Applin then married Samuel Pearson.
Any information regarding the parents of John A Applin would be appreciated also, as well as any newspaper accounts of the bridge collapse or an obituary for John A.
