Stephen Williamson Family

I'm seeking information on the Stephen WILLIAMSON family. According to this book titled: Coryell County, Texas families / compiled by Coryell County Genealogical Society, Gatesville, Texas, U.S.A. the WILLIAMSON's were early pioneers/settlers to the Coryell County area, they came to Texas in the 1840's from Arkansas and settled in Panola County and then Rusk County and in 1854 Stephen moved his family to Coryell Co. and settled near Bee House and Cow House creeks.

Stephen WILLIAMSON was born on August 2, i791 in South Carolina and died in Coryell Co.,Texas on April 26, 1863. He went to Mississippi and in 1822 married Sarah SWEETON and they moved to Coryell Co.,Texas. Sarah was born in Mississippi in 1805 and died in Panola Co.,Texas in 1850. Sarah SWEETON was the daughter of Dutton SWEETON of Tippah Co.,Mississippi.

Sarah and Stephen's daughter was Sarah Elizabeth and she was born about 1848. She married my gggrandfather Wilson ROGERS and they lived in Coryell County and they had 2 children together that I know of:
1. Daniel M. b. 1867
2. Stephen Edgar b. 1871

Sarah Elizabeth's siblings were Joseph,John,Sereno(married William PATTERSON),Dutton,Daniel Martin,Eli,Nancy(married Albert JONES),Mary Ann(married Mike HAMPTON),Rachel(married W.R. BASHAM),William Riley and an infant brother that died in Arkansas.
It also states in the Coryell County book that Stephen WILLIAMSON was killed on April 26,1863 while he was out with a Mr. HENDERSON hunting.
I would really like to hear from anyone related to or knows of this family because I can't seem to find anything else about them. Contact me at
