The death index doesn't provide any information other than her name, when and where she died.

I looked through the Census records and it doesn't appear that she was James Edward Gipson's wife. By the way he died 24 Feb 1955, Stanton, Martin Co., TX.

A copy of her death certificate or her obituary would help you to know if she was his wife. However, if she was an early or first wife, he might not be mentioned in either document.

You can order a copy of her death certificate from the Cooke County Clerk,

You can contact the Cross Timbers Genealogical Society, for a copy of her obituary.

If you're looking for information about him, I can look it up. Successful Searching!
