We seeking information on the burial location of Private George W. Caldwell who died of pneumonia Jan. 12, 1918 at Camp Travis San Antonio. The death certificate indicates the body was buried or removed to Comanche Texas Jan. 14, 1918.
George W. Caldwell is listed on the bronze plaque on the east side of the Cooke County courthouse in Gainesville, Tex. He was the son of Charlie W. Caldwell, born in Arkansas in 1887. Pvt. Co B 359th Inf.
His draft registration indicates he was living in Valley View, Cooke county at the time he entered the service.
