I found your post, and noticed the name Westbrook. There is a Westbrook in our line. Richard (Dick) Westbrook, b. July 1, 1917, died Dec. 1990, Elgin, Bastrop Co, Texas, age 73. He was married twice: once to Elsie Dreyer, and the other to a woman named Wanda. There is a daughter named Shirley, but I don't have the note in front of me that tells me who's daughter she is. Dreyer is the direct line into my mother's family. Elsie's sister Martha, married a Paul Kersten, who was baptized at New Ulm (according to all the records, it was Trinity Lutheran Church; he was born in New Bremen). Martha and Paul had four children, two of whom are still living, and one of those two being my grandmother.
If the Kersten name rings a bell, I would love to hear from you. I am currently working on this side of the family: my grandmother and her baby brother are both in their 80s, and I am trying to find as much information to give them and their families. Thank you!
