Carl Lester Tucker, supposedly a son of Newton and Perry Jane (Major) Tucker, was born 18 Feb 1896 in Myrtle, Miss. He died 4 Dec 1964 in Houston, Harris Co. Texas and was buried in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus, Colorado Co., Texas. He was married first to Lillie Erna Taylor on 10 Aug 1920 in Weimar, Colorado Co., Texas. She died 16 Jul 1930 shortly after the birth of her fourth child. Carl Lester later married Ann Polk Carnes

Carl Lester had a sister, Rudell, who married John Y. Matthews Jr. 28 May 1922 in Colorado Co., Texas. She was born 26 Jun 1899 in New Albany, Union Co., Mississippi and died in Jul 1989 in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington.

Also buried in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus, Colorado Co., Texas is an Edward Houston Tucker, born 15 Sep 1882 and died 21 Sep 1944. He is listed as a son of Newton and Jennie (Major) Tucker. Not sure of the source of his parents but probably an obituary.

Both Lillie Erna Taylor and John Y. Matthews Jr. are distant relatives of mine.

Dorothy
