Does anyone out there know anything about the following family who were living south of Columbus, Colorado Co, TX in the 1880 census?
John A. MCDONALD b.1814 in Cobleskill, Schoharie Co, NY; d. prob. in TX after 1880. -m2 abt 1859 in Oswego Co, NY- Cordelia R. HORTON(nee SPRIG)b.1832 in NY; d. prob. in TX. After their marriage, they moved from Oswego Co, NY to Butler Co, MI and from there to TX sometime between 1870 and 1880.
children:
1. John MCDONALD b.1861 in Oswego Town, Oswego, NY
2. Charles MCDONALD b.1863 in Butler, Branch Co, MI
3. Peter Worden MCDONALD b.1866 in Butler, Branch Co, MI
Would love to hear from descendants or other relatives. John A. MCDONALD is my gr gr gr grandfather (by his first wife, Mary CLARK.) Am trying to get a death and burial date and death certificate for him. Would also like to know if any of these sons had children or where they settled after 1880.
