Slaughter/Gilbert/Moon

Sarah Moon Gilbert, daughter of Jacob Moon from Wilkes County, Georgia, widow of Captain Michael Gilbert of Georgia, came to Texas as one of Austin's original 300 in 1825. One of her daughters, Nancy(died ca. 1845, Colorado County, Texas), was married to Thomas Slaughter (died ca. 1835 in Colorado County, Texas)who received a land grant under Austin's second contract. The fact Sarah and Nancy were from Georgia leads me to believe Thomas Slaughter was from Georgia. I am trying to determine his parents and in dealing with the Slaughters, this is a difficult task. Thomas and Nancy's children were named: Thomas P.; Pleasant Isaac; Gabriel Clayton; Pamelia and Virgillia. Any help in determing which Slaughter line Thomas is from would be greatly appreciated. I have lots of information from here forward and would love to share with anyone interested in these lines.
