CHEROKEE BILL(BLACK BILL)TAYLOR
Posted by: Elise Semrad Date: June 02, 2000 at 10:32:30

My elusive ancestor had a son, William C Taylor (born AL) who married Martha Riddle in Cherokee Co, in 1849. I know something of her family as the Riddles are all listed in the 1850 census. My problem is finding Wm.C's father and mother. Was he Cherokee blood,Did he trade with the Cherokees or did the name come from Cherokee Territory AL???
How I wish I could be at the Swap Meet this month. Thanks Elise Semrad
