I am also looking for info on a brother/sister combo in Cherokee County, Texas, similar or same to yours. Mine are Victoria and Lawrence Coon. I read where they were in the 1880 census there, he was a farmer and she was keeping house, but they were there I believe before 1880 as their brother Jacob bought land there in 1879, travelled there from LA, and died there of malaria? that same year. Jacob Coon was my ggg-grandfather. Victoria married a man named Mack Henderson (???) in 1880 and he died young, leaving her with small children. Her family tried to get her to move back home to LA but she refused and died soon after there in Cherokee Co. Supposedly the children were then raised by the Henderson grandparents in Texas. I found graves for a Victoria Henderson 1844 - 1893, married to a Harrison Henderson (same dates) in Jacksonville, Cherokee County, but don't know if these are the same ones. I have info on her family but nothing on her, and nothing on her husband, Henderson. I would also like to find where Jacob Coon bought land there in 1878 or 79. Have been unable to find his grave. Wonder if his sister would have been buried near him???
