I don't have additional info on David and Millie Cook but will continue to search. I know that Benjamin was listed as father of Joseph Thomas Cook in the Cherokee County history book -- I have photo copy of that article. That info may have come from my father's cousin the late Tusie Woodward Melvin, who thought Benjamin was the father. I was under the same impression and spent many hours at Clayton Library in Houston, pursuing that line back to Henry Cook from England in 1600s in Massachusetts. Our Cooks, I found out later, are from Scotland. Probably, David's father came to NC from Scotland in 1700s.
