Thank you so much for that link! It's a shame Martha's maiden name wasn't on there as Ethel's mother.

So I'm thinking... What if Martha McKinnelly (that's the spelling I have in the family bible as well as loose pages with McKinnelly family member names) was married to a Walker previously thus her name when she married PF Alexander could have been the MC Walker. That might also explain the extra Walker boy in the household on the 1880 census.

As far as why you can't find any other McKinnelly's, I have no idea. I will look at those pages with names listed and give you some ideas but I won't be able to get back to them until Sunday night.
