Seeking information on my ancestor:

David Patillo White (DP White)
b. 1828 Union Co SC
d. 1903 I think Cherokee Co TX?
wife:
Celeste Brown
b. 1837 GA
d. 1904 ?

They were living in Cherokee Co by the 1870
Census, and there until at least 1900. David
died in 1903 and Celeste in 1904.

From what I can piece together from the various
census the children were: John F, Omer?, Alice A,
Kate, James, Laura, Lula, Lane?, Thomas and Minnie.

David wrote several songs for his fathers book, the
Sacred Harp published in 1844, Harris Co GA.

Would like to hear more about David and wether he
continued teaching music, as he was until 1860, in
Alabama, where they are buried, and anything about
his children, that may have survived...
