Mr. Clarkson,
Joel's daughter, Ada Ann Dean died last March 1, 2001 (2 days before her 93rd birthday). She was Catholic (as was her husband), so I do not know if her father was also Catholic. She said her father, Joel Henry Dean, was buried "up close to the road in Cass County." For some reason, I think it was a public cemetary, but this is just a hunch based on what family members have told me.
Joel H. Dean, white, was born 8/19/1871 & died 4/26/1921. I do not know of any military service.
I live in Georgia and someday hope to visit the area, but thought there might be a cemetary book with older burial listings.
You are so nice to do this for fellow genealogists. Even it you do not find my J.H. Dean, I thank you for trying.
