Seeking information about Walter Gibbs King, born 9-21-1883 in Camp Co., TX; died 8-10-1956 in Houston, Harris Co., TX. The son of Henry Gibbs King and Margaret Corrilla (Sayles)King; he married (unknown) about 1917-1918. Walter and his wife may have divorced in Missouri and she is reported to have died in California about 1927-1929. Walter and (unknown) had a daughter named EttaMae Margaret King who was born 7-31-1919. According to the 1930 Federal Census of Camp Co., TX, EttaMae and her mother were born in Missouri. After her mother died, when she was 7-8 years old, EttaMae moved to Camp Co., TX to live with her aunt and uncle, Margaret Ellen King and William Wiley Chance. Another source has suggested that Walter had lived in St. Louis until moving to Houston, TX.
