Thanks for your response. I gather that you found Wm Oscar Williams' birth date from his WWI draft registration; correct? I gather also that you did not find evidence of his death or that of his wife, Augustus Floyd Williams. I think he would have been too old to be involved in WWII so the liklihood of his being shipped out of Cameron County is remote. I have always heard that one or both of them died as a result of a robbery; presumably at their home in San Benito.

I do not know what DRT chapter Gussie belonged to. The only thing I have is her member number, 1219 and that she was admitted in 1923. I will call DRT headquarters in San Antonio and see if they have any information that would be helpful. They have previously sent me a transcript of her application.

Thanks again for your help. Anything else you might turn up would be greatly appreciated.
