My GreatGreatgrandfather Ruperto Rodriguez was born abt 1853, to an Irishman named Burford and his wife with the surname Esquivel Mota. She died giving birth to Rupeto and Burford gave him to his wife's sister to raise. She married Cruz Rodriguez and they raised him in Brownsville Cameron County. They are in the 1860 Census. Ruperto married Margarita?? from Cotulla and had children--San Juana and Santos and ???. He divorced and took the girls to San Antonio. Ruperto died in the early 1940s and is buried in San Antonio. Need much help, I can be contacted at JohnnySanchez@compuserve.com
