Hi Tony, Thanks for your reply. Gertrudes father was John McIver Mims, born Aug 6, 1849, Fairfield, S.C. died Jan 25, 1907, Clarksville, Texas, his wifes names was Mattie (Last name unknown). Johns father was James Sessions Mims, born Feb 10, 1817, Bladen Co, N.C. died Jun 14, 1855, Greenville, S.C. he was a professor at Furman University, Greenville, SC, he married Sara McIver from Society Hill, SC. James brother was Dr Samuel Alexander Mims, my great grandfather who married Harriett McIver, the girls were twins. I have much information on Gertrudes family, I just could never find her or what happened to her. If You will go to GOOGLE and put in Dr Samuel Alexander Mims, you will find out some Mims information. I will want to chat with you some more when you get a chance to go thru The info I haave provided.

Thanks again, John Mimms
