The graves at Ft. Brown were exhumed and re-interred at the National Cemetery in Alexandria, Louisiana. I cannot remember, off hand, when this took place. But there is a book with the names of the deceased at various libraries and museums in the Rio Grande Valley. I suggest you contact the Historic Brownsville Museum at 641 East Madison, (956)548-1313. Hours:Mon - Fri 10 am to 4:30 pm, Sat 10 am - 1 pm. They used to have copies of that book for sale, or try the National Cemetery in Alexandria. I don't have that address or telephone number. Would like to know if you locate the information you are seeking.
