Hi I am a decendant of Joshua Callahan. His father is Napolean Bonaparte Callahan and his mother is Julia A. Anderson. I am researching the parents of Joshua Callahan. I have been unable to find anything on Napolean or Julia. Napoleans father was suppose to be from North Carolina and His mother from Georgia. the history I am getting is that back in Ireland Napoleans great grandfather bought tickets to America. The highlanders kidnapped Charles there young son in hopes they would not go. Since they spent all of there money on the tickets they left without him. The highlanders let him go and he got passage on a ship to America. When he got here he stayed with a Irish family. He spelled his name like O'Callaghan. He later married and had 2 sons. One of these sons is the father of Napolean. Somewhere the spelling of the name changed. If you have any info on this set of Callahans I would be greatful to share what I have.
