Hello Jean,
My GGGGG grandfather, Holloway Ellison and his brothers, Jonathan, Nathaniel, Thomas and William, traveled to Caldwell Co., Tx in covered wagons from Missouri. They arrived ca 1846. They were the first Ellison family in Caldwell Co.
I have a list of all of these brother's children. (We have very good bible records)There is only one Henry in these men's children.
My GGGG grandmother was Henry Eugenia Ellison. A female. She married R.A. (Robert Adkins) Brown.
If this is not your Henry, then we need to go to the next generation of children. I do not have the records of their names. However, there are many family researchers. There are some very good records on the next generation. We may be able to help you.
Do you have death date for Henry? Do you know your Henry Ellison's children's names? Also, where did Henry live after Caldwell Co.?
Holloway's brother, Nathaniel moved to Mason Co., Tx for a while. Thomas moved to Mason Co., and that is where he died. Most of the Ellison children lived and were buried in Caldwell Co., but some of them did move to other places.
My Ellison line can be traced back to the 1600's. Hopefully, we can fit you in!
Robin Webb-Lucas
Luling (Caldwell Co., Tx)
