Seeking news on:

JOHN PERKINS1 KEY was born Abt. 1833 in Alabama & moved to MS, and died November 20, 1912 in Burnet Co., Texas. He married MILDRED R. HURT1,2 March 28, 1853 in Drew County, Arkansas, daughter of ELIJAH HURT and MARTHA RAGSDALE. She was born 1837 in Marshall Co. , Mississipp2, and died October 24, 1917 in Lampasas, Lampasas, Texas2.

Notes for JOHN PERKINS KEY:
Served in "I" Wood's Regiment Confederate Cavalry May 1861 thru April 1865.

Applied for pension in January 1907 when he was 83 years old and living in Luling, Texas, Caldwell Co., with son, William Elizah Key.

Notes for MILDRED R. HURT:
Was living with daughter, Roxie, when she died.
