Wanted to clear up my James F. Wright: He is "James La Fayetta Wright-b. 9 Nov 1832-AL, m. 6 Mar 1853-Guadalupe Co., TX to Matilda Ann Miears (b. 18 Aug. 1830-AL.) Both buried in Algerita Cemetery-San Saba Co., TX. I do not have their death dates.

George Washington S. Wright (my 3rd gr-grandfather) was b. 12 Jan 1824; d. 30 May 1900-Guadalupe Co., TX, buried Brushy Creek Cemetery-Guadalupe Co., TX; m. 6 Mar 1853-Guadalupe Co., TX to Isophena Miears (b. 1828-AL; d. Apr 1893-Guadalupe Co., TX).

I have jotted down in my notes that the parents of Isophena Miears Wright were Jonathan Myers/Miers (father) and Nancy Clower (mother, who was also the 2nd wife of Asa Wright, Isophena's father-in-law)

Nancy Miers Wright was a/k/a Nancy Clower...I know that the older Wright's said she was born a Clower. My mother went to a family reunion of the Wright's at Kosse, Texas, 15 or so years ago. Family talk was that Nancy Clower Miers Wright was out of the same family as comedian/former Univ of AL football player, Jerry Clower. They asked my mother if she knew that she was kin to Jerry Clower because her 2nd gr-grandfather George S. Washington Wright had married one of Nancy's daughters, Isophena Miers. So we were kin to the Clower's. And they commented on Nancy Clower Miers Wright marrying Isophena's father-in-law.

My mother got a copy of Allene's research at that time. Only problem was that she didn't get the whole book. She stopped at page 132. I know there are over 183 pages because someone who had the papers sent me page 183, which listed the children of my gr-gr-grandparents, Elizabeth Della Wright (dau of George Washington S. & Isophena Miers) and Marion Washington Dennis.

I have been in contact recently with a man who has the book. He is in ill health, though, and I probably won't get the rest of the pages until his daughter can get them for me.

I am a couple of hours from Caldwell County and Guadalupe County. I am going to look at my calendar and talk to my husband and hope to go to the cemeteries over there in the near future.

Not only do I want to look at the Wright burials, etc. I am searching for information on my Dennis', some of whom are also buried at Prairie Lea.
