My Mother is the daughter of Clarence Reed and Annie Bowdoin Reed. Clarence was the son of William J. Reed and Laura Standifer. In the genealogy I have found, it lists Corelian Standifer marrying a W.J. Reeds. I have not been able to determine if Corelian and Laura are the same person but guess they must be. Either way, her parents were Israel Brawley Standifer and Elizabeth Rice. My Mother's parents divorced when my Mother was thirteen (Mother is 86 now.) We never knew her father or his family with the exception of his sister and some of her children. I am at work, and for the life of me, I can't think of their family name right now. They live in Lockhart and the family owns Superior Dairys in Austin, Texas. Anyway the genealogy I have of the Standifer family or the Rice family is very limited. I would appreciate any information you have to share.

P.S. There was definitely a major tragedy in the early 1900's that ripped a lot of families apart. It affected Bowdoin's, Reed's, Standifer's and Rice's. Will tell you more if I hear from you.
