Robin! Thank you for your kind response, & interesting! You have a roper in the family & I'll bet he'd rather rope than eat when he's hungry! At least I did! It takes a good roper to be a heeler & I'll bet he is! I got the strong impression that the Col. Jim Ellison & young Jim in Texas (sent cattle up the trail, or took them up) were the same ones who went to Ariz. later, north of Globe. I can't remember the name of their ranch or the brand right now, It's been several years since I read about them. Did I mention that they might be found in the `Trail Drivers of Texas' or `Texas Trail Drivers', a very large book on the subject named? I'm sure the Luling library has one! I hope so, anyway. Thank you for your kind & generous offer, I might take you up on it later when you're not quite so busy. I have Moores, Southerns, & Dowdles buried in Prairie Lea & my gr grandparents two year old son, Ollie Leroy Cowley, born in Grayson co. & I haven't found yet where the little guy's buried. I think it's either Caldwell or Grayson co. Thank you very much & good searching! Dean Guthery <firstname.lastname@example.org>
