Laurie, I looked at the Burnet County History Vol II and read about Joseph Ethridge and Willoby Ethridge. There are numerous mentions of the Ethridge Cemetery near Oakalla and quite a few of the Ehtridge family members are burried there. Oakalla is in the northeastern part of Burnet County and has a very small population. If I were you I would write to the Postmaster at Oakalla, Texas and ask him where the cemetery is and who owns the ranch where it is located. Both Ethridge men are from Dickson County Tennessee and moved to Burnet in 1858. The wife of Joseph Ethridge was Nancy Smith and they had ten children, Merida, Mary c., Burle E (maybe Bunnell Ethridge mispelled), Dennis, Sara N, Julia, Tennessee L., George Wesley, William and Lydia. Willoby Ethridge only had nine children, Mary, Lucinda, Lewis E., Elizabeth, Cassa E, Harriet, Jesse E, Eason amd Aaron. If you are interested I will copy the two pages about the Ethridges for you and fax or mail to you. The information is on pages 85 and 86 of Vol II of Burnet County History by Darrell Debo and the Burnet County Historical Commission and is a Pioneer history 1847 - 1979.
